People will have to pay an extra £2,000 a year in taxes to fund the NHS sustainably in the future, a report has said.
The joint study by the Institute for Fiscal Studies and the Health Foundation claims health spending will have to rise by 3.3% a year, faster than forecasted economic growth for many years.
