MEDWAY Sub Aqua Club has been recognised after being awarded Sport England’s Clubmark accreditation.

The award is designed to recognise the achievements of sports clubs in England in developing high quality and welcoming environments for young people.

The Medway club is one of four British Sub Aqua Clubs (BSAC) which has been taken through the assessment process in order to achieve accreditation.

Medway Sub Aqua Club was selected as a pilot branch for the award and has been working towards the accreditation for the past 18 months.

Medway Council’s sports development officer Sarah Risby said: “The club has been working tirelessly towards this and they deserve to be recognised for all their efforts and hard work.”
