Holcombe men’s 1st team completed their EHL Conference East season with a ding-dong battle against Bromley & Beckenham at Langley Park on Sunday.

Trailing 3-0 at the break, Holcombe came alive in the second half and made it 3-2 from two short corner goals by Dave Mathews.

BromBeck then scored again, only for Dan Laslett and Liam Foster to cut the deficit to 5-4, but the visitors had the last word with a sixth goal as Holcombe chased an equaliser.

Holcombe finished in seventh place in the 10-team league on 23 points after the 6-4 defeat, with BromBeck opening up a four-point gap above them in sixth spot.
