Medway Area Sunday League round-up (22/01/23)

Only six matches beat the freeze in the Medway Area Sunday League at the weekend.

Just one game survived in the Premier Division with Chatham Town SR taking full advantage with a 5-0 home win over Borden Park Wanderers.

Sam Stace and Ricky Gundry both scored twice with Spencer Marshall completing the story.

In Division 2, Medway United played out their first draw of the season, being held 1-1 at home by Hempstead United.

Ryan Horsley scored for Medway with Tom Arnold on target for the visitors.

There were two games in Division 4 with Rainham Eagles defeating London Road 4-3.

Gavin Pullen (2), Jack Amos and Brad Fowler scored for Rainham with Ben Saffrey and Liam Tyler (2) netting for London.

The other game saw Tunbury Athletic move up to second with an 8-1 home victory against bottom side Palmerston Athletic.

Anchorians Rovers claimed their first win of the season in Division 5, a 5-3 success at Medway Soccer Academy.

Kye O'Brien and Charlie Yelton both scored twice with Patrick Hemingway also netting for Anchorians, Luis Dos Santos (2) and Reece Germano were on target for Medway.

Finley Grundy and Bobby Macey scored for Bredhurst Juniors Rangers but they were held to a 2-2 draw home by Strood.
