Charity is Mr Motivator's motivation

FORMER television star Mr Motivator is to visit Larkfield Leisure Centre next month for an exercise class in aid of three charities.

The Jamaican fitness guru struck up a friendship with 63-year-old Kenwynne Barber, of Epsom Close, West Malling, when she went on a charity bike ride with him in Malawi.

After visiting the former GMTV star at his home in Jamaica earlier this year, Mrs Barber invited him to raise some money at her local gym.

The event, on Wednesday, September 24, from 9.30am until 10.45am, will raise money for cancer research and the Dreams Come True charity for terminally ill children, alongside Mr Motivator's own charitable trust.

Mrs Barber said: "He has got a great love of trying to get children back into keeping fit. I chose Dreams Come True because it offers children a moment of happiness."

Cancer Research UK is the chosen charity of fellow organiser, Jill Bellingham who runs exercise classes at the leisure centre. Her mother died of cancer four years ago.

Tickets, priced £10, and sponsor forms are available from Mrs Bellingham at the centre on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, from 9.15am, or on 07798 921931.

Participants who secure £50 or more in sponsorship will have their tickets refunded.
