If so, a perfect way of eliminating sugar and boosting your vitality is by securing a place at the KM Big Bike Ride!

Cycling is a fantastic activity which has proven health benefits including increased cardiovascular fitness, muscle gain and increased flexibility, decreased stress levels, and decreased body fat levels.

The charity challenge event provides riders the option to raise money for their favourite good causes, or to support foundations involved with the ride such as Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance. Alternatively, the ride can be entered by those simply searching for an action-packed day out.

Tickets are now available for the ride which takes place at Betteshanger Park, near Deal on Sunday, April 24. Riders can partake in a 50K countryside or 100K coastal route, designed to accommodate all abilities and requirements.

The Locks of Sandwich Cycles-supported 100K ride is the perfect choice for sportive cyclists or more advanced riders, and spans the Kent coast across Ramsgate, Margate and Reculver. Meanwhile the shorter 50K option offers more casual or lesuirely riders the opportunity to take in plush views of Sandwich, Preston and Bramling.

Both routes start and conclude at Betteshanger in which all riders will receive a limited edition medal upon completion. Sportive photographs are also available to all. Refuelling stations will be located throughout both rides for those requiring additional drink and sustenance.

Lisa Craig, events manager at the KM Charity Team which organises the ride, said: "Easter is a time for togetherness, but it is also a short window in which we often overindulge. Kick-start your April in a positive, healthy manner by securing your place at the ride. Last year's event was a tremendous success and provided both a fun-filled day for our riders, and a financially prosperous one for our charities. We are looking to replicate such triumphs on the 24th."

Book now for the event at www.kmbigbikeride.co.uk and use code KMPRBB16 for a £5 discount.

Riders of all ages are welcome to take part, but those aged 12 to 17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
