Primary School children have a chance to have their creative writing and artwork put on display at an award-winning gallery by entering the Perfect Packed Lunch Awards.

The competition, organised by the KM Group’s charity department, requires youngsters to devise a genuine or fantasy packed lunch. To enter, they must submit a drawing or painting of their creation and write about what makes it special.

Children can submit their entries in a variety of categories including: Famous Artist, Book Character, Knight, Superhero, Celebrity, Fairytale, Pirate Captain, Historic, Princess, Healthy, and Cheesy.

Every online entry submitted to the Perfect Packed Lunch Awards will be converted into an online recipe card visible by all which can be linked to social media pages by the entrant's family. Judges will pick category finalists and winners to invite to an awards ceremony at the prestigious Beaney House of Art & Knowledge, Canterbury where their art will go on display for the summer of 2017.

Simon Dolby from the KM Charity Team said: "This creative writing and artwork competition is growing in popularity within primary schools. I am delighted we have secured such a great gallery willing to display the winners' work."

The awards are supported by key partners Golding Homes, Three R’s Teacher Recruitment and The Beaney House of Art & Knowledge.
