Investment brings growth in jobs

A FAVERSHAM-based landscape gardening franchise service is set for a jobs boost after a major firm invested a six-figure sum into it.

Scenic Blue, the country's only such service, has signed up with Aggregate Industries', the owners of Bradstone Paving and Stone Products, in return for a minority shareholding.

It has been working with Bradstone on a joint venture garden design service during the past year.

The extra finance means Scenic Blue, which is based in Brogdale, can concentrate on expansion.

Currently 17 members of staff look after 35 franchises across the country in a variety of roles. The firm hopes this will grow to 100 franchises in the next five years, which could mean at least another 30 jobs. A training manager has been recently appointed.
