An angry motorist is claiming his high-performance car was driven over the speed limit more than a dozen times while left at a specialist dealership for a service.

Audi UK is now investigating a complaint by Mark Reece about the mystery journeys his Audi RS 4 allegedly took while it should have been in a service bay.

Mr Reece had put the car in for its annual service while he was away on business - but claims his pride and joy was covered in fingerprints and not in the condition he had left it on his return.

He then checked the records on his computerised tracker device. "I couldn't believe my eyes," said the 37-year-old from Rochester. "Not only had it been driven for 16 miles - whoever was driving it had broken the speed limit many times in a 30-mile an hour zones.

"On several occasions it was driven over 60mph in residential streets and even once reached a speed of 67.7mph - and the car had been started up at least 27 times."

He has not yet received any notification of speeding penalties.
