A number of arrests have been made after search warrants were carried out at properties in Kent and Surrey.

Officers from the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU), working alongside colleagues from the Metropolitan Police executed the warrants as part of a push to reduce the harm caused by drug supply.

Properties in Westerham, Bromley, Northfleet and Biggin Hill were searched.

Two men, both aged 30, from Bromley and Biggin Hill and a 23-year-old woman from Bromley, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs and money laundering.

Det Sgt Steve Tattersall, of the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit, who led the warrants, said: “We continue to work with our colleagues across the region in order to crack down on the supply of drugs and items which are used in the production of drugs."

Detective Superintendent Craig Dibdin, Head of SEROCU, said: “These arrests come as a result of an extensive and thorough investigation by officers from SEROCU working with our colleagues in Metropolitan Police Service in order to execute today’s warrants.

“This was a significant warrant, with a large quantity being seized and involving 110 officers from across the South East and the Metropolitan Police Service. They were accompanied by the Fire Service and Health and Safety officers due to the presence of quantities of other hazardous substances including hydrochloric acid.”

The three arrested were released on bail until July 28.
