The M25 has been reopened after a car fire.

Two lanes of the anti-clockwise carriageway between Junction 6 for Godstone and Junction 5 M26/A21 Sevenoaks were closed on Tuesday, September 8, shortly after a silver vehicle went up in flames.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service, Kent Police and Highways England were called at 4.15pm to deal with the blaze.

Firefighters extinguished the fire and left the scene.

The vehicle involved has been recovered and both lanes have been reopened.

Long delays remained in the area for around an hour after the fire.
