Second attempt to redevelop former kennels in Farningham

Councillors asked to consider plans for the demolition of a former cattery and boarding kennels and their replacement with two new homes may get a feeling of deja view.

The application for the Lincoln Boarding Kennels and Cattery at Gorse Hill, in Farningham, is exactly the same as one they already approved five years ago in 2017.

The owner never implemented the planning permission which automatically expired in November 2020.

Now he is having another go.

The application to Sevenoaks council is for the demolition of all the existing kennels and cattery buildings and their replacement with one three-bedroom bungalow, and a second three-bedroom home that incorporates a day-room and studio within the roof space.

The access from Donkey Lane would be altered to accommodate both new homes.

The 0.8 hectare site lies within the AONB and the green belt.
