Steven McCall is at work this week looking like Coco the Clown but despite some ribbing from his mates, he is having the last laugh.

Playing the clown has helped him generate more than £700 for the Kent Air Ambulance charity.

The 41-year-old laboratory tablet operator at Aesica, Queenborough, had the middle of his head shaved at the Rushenden Club, Rushenden, last Saturday.

And the remaining hair was sprayed red on both sides. He then donned a red nose to complete the Coco look.

His proud mum Anne said: "Everybody else said they wouldn’t do it, but Steven did.

"I’m very proud of him. He’s been a strong supporter of Kent Air Ambulance for some time.”
