Two people onboard a 28-foot yacht were stranded after the boat became stuck close to Kingsnorth Jetty in the River Medway.

After locating the passengers, the team towed the vessel to Queenborough Harbour.

The all-weather lifeboat first launched at 3.44pm.

It then proceeded upriver, and located those onboard around 15 minutes later.

A tow was established shortly after where the yacht was pulled from the mud and into deeper water.

The two people onboard were not happy to continue to sail, and with the yacht having no engine, the lifeboat towed the vessel to shore.

The local trot boat assisted the yacht onto its moorings, before the lifeboat returned to service again at 5.00pm.
