Man taken to hospital after nightclub attack

A man has spent three days in hospital after being attacked in a nightclub.

The victim suffered leg and ankle injuries following an altercation in the Tantra nightclub, Seafront, Sheerness, between 2am and 2.30am on Sunday.

Police have recovered CCTV images and are still to interview the victim, who was out celebrating a birthday when the attack happened.

He was so badly injured that he was not released from hospital for three days.

A police spokesman said: “This is a very active investigation. We’d like anyone who was inside the nightclub at the time and saw the incident to take place to contact us.”

The nightclub owners were unavailable for comment.

Witnesses should call PC Louise Batten at Sittingbourne police station on 01795 419348 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
