A keen cook from Sheppey has won £1,000 after appearing on a reality TV show.

Daniel Bowman, from Minster, scooped the prize in last night’s episode of Come Dine With Me on Channel 4.

The show follows four strangers each hosting a dinner party to win the cash prize.

Prison officer Mr Bowman, 35, was up against contestants from Sittingbourne, Faversham and Gillingham.

After being scored by each of the contestants, his was declared the best dinner party and he was awarded his prize.
