A Sittingbourne singing contest could unearth a future superstar in the making.

The Vocal Ability talent show is open to groups and solo performers of all ages at the Avenue Theatre.

For the winners, a £500 cash prize and a professional recording and photo session await.

There is also the chance of a backstage tour and four tickets to the Queen-based West End musical sensation, We Will Rock You.

Studio time and cash prizes are also available to the runners-up.

Entrants must audition before a panel of professional judges either in person at the theatre or via YouTube on June 15-16.

Those chosen will go through to a quarter final stage in front of a live audience.

The final itself takes place on Saturday, July 13.
