A child has been taken to hospital after falling on a busy road.

Police were called to London Road in Sittingbourne, by the Shell Garage, at 3.20pm this afternoon.

A spokesman said: “Officers were called to a report that a child had been injured following a fall.

“Officers are assisting the South East Coast Ambulance Service, and remain on scene.

“The child is being taken to a local hospital as a precautionary measure.”
