Police are searching for a distressed woman who was last seen yesterday afternoon in the Newington area of Sittingbourne.

The woman is described as being very tanned, with long blonde hair and wearing a blue and white stripy top and jeans.

Officers are concerned for her welfare as they believe she may be in a distressed state.

She was last seen heading away from the level crossing at High Oak Hill in Sittingbourne into a field at the rear of Newington station at about 3.30pm.
