Crash on M2 between Sittingbourne and Faversham

A driver escaped unhurt following a single-car crash on the M2.

The accident happened at around 10.30pm yesterday, between Junction 5 for Sittingbourne and Junction 6 for Faversham.

Several other drivers stopped to help the driver of the red Honda Civic involved.

The aftermath was captured on a dash-cam, which showed cars parked up along the hard shoulder.

The incident was dealt with by National Highways officers.

A spokesman said: "The vehicle hit the central reservation and was left with a wheel facing in the wrong direction. "We towed the vehicle to the hard shoulder and waited while it was recovered.

"No-one was injured and there were no significant delays to traffic."
