Fire crews tackle blaze in flat roof extension in Sittingbourne

Firefighters had to force their way into a property after a neighbour reported fire on a flat roof extension.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze in Shortlands Road, Sittingbourne using a hose reel jet at around 9pm last night.

There were no reports of any injuries and the cause of the fire has not been confirmed.
