Delays are expected this evening after a crash.

Lane one of two is closed on the A249 north between junction 5 of the M2 and A2 Key Street roundabout near Sittingbourne – causing congestion that stretches back to the motorway.

Emergency services are working at the scene and recovery is being arranged.

There are delays of 30 minutes on the M2 east approaching Junction 4 at Gillingham because of the crash.

Highways say the road is expected to clear between 6.30pm and 6.45pm.

Police have been contacted for more information.
