Gillingham loanees backed for first-team future

Sittingbourne manager Chris Lynch is tipping all three of his young Gillingham loanees to break into the first team at Priestfield.

Striker Roman Campbell has made headlines after scoring five goals for the Brickies but Lynch also sees midfielder Henry Woods and left-back Jack Morrell going all the way with Gills in the Football League.

Lynch said: "I believe all three of them will play for Gillingham's first team.

"Jack is probably about a year-and-a-half away but he's got some amazing technical ability.

"He's come on massively since he's been here and looks a very, very good player.

"Roman, for me, he's not far off it right now.

"I think he will be pushing for the bench going into next season and Henry isn't far behind.

"I wish them all the best and when they leave here at the end of the season, I'm sure they'll go far.

"They came over here at a time when the team was in turmoil and they've been a major part of everything in the turnaround since I've been here.

"They've got the right attitude and they're willing to to work hard, like all the players are."
