Police have now released an image of the spoiler - a feature designed to make a vehicle more aerodynamic - along with a CCTV image of two men they are hoping to trace.

A spokesman said: "It is hoped they will have information which could assist inquiries."

Investigating officer PC Luke Hewett added: "It is believed the spoiler will be recognisable by car enthusiasts so we ask people to keep be alert and contact Kent Police if they think they have seen it.

"I appreciate the CCTV image is quite blurry, but I hope someone recognises those pictured."
