Three teenagers attacked by boys in Sussex Gardens, Westgate, in attempted robbery

Three teenagers were attacked by a pair of youngsters in an attempted robbery.

The trio were walking in Sussex Gardens in Westgate when they were approached by two boys.

The suspects then assaulted the three teenage boys and demanded they hand over their phones and wallets.

But when members of the public intervened, the pair ran off towards the Westbrook Promenade.

The incident happened between 10pm and 10.20pm on Monday, August 1, but a witness appeal has now been launched.

The first suspect is described as aged 14 or 15, slim, white, with black hair and wore a grey tracksuit.

The second suspect was also white, aged 12 or 13, and had light brown hair and a grey Nike tracksuit.
