Attempted theft of motorbike in Margate caught on camera

A group of youngsters have been caught on camera attempting to steal a motorbike from outside a house.

The three were spotted on doorbell footage in Marlborough Road, Margate, in the early hours of Wednesday.

Sophie Bradford captured them attempting to get away with her partner's Yamaha YZF600 Thunder Cat bike at about 2.45am.

She told KentOnline: "The bike had a flat rear tyre that one of them has damaged, so I think that's why they didn't get any further with it."

Others came forward on facebook to say that they too had been targeted.

"This seems to have happened several times that night - maybe by an organised group, as two more were stolen the same night in the same area," Ms Bradford said.
