A man in his 20s died this morning after falling from a cliff.

Police were called at 11.10am to an area near Queen's Promenade in Margate.

Officers are investigating the death, but say it is not being treated as suspicious.

The area of seafront and promenade has been cordoned off for most of the day to allow officers to carry out initial inquiries.

Fire crews from Margate, Ramsgate and Deal stations were sent to the area at 11.24am.

They set up a cordon of the area and assisted the police in looking for any further victims.

Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
