Man robbed at knifepoint while walking near Albion Gardens in Ramsgate

Police are hunting a group of young men who robbed a man at knifepoint.

The victim was walking past Albion Gardens in Ramsgate at about 10.30pm on Thursday when a group of four men thought to be in their early 20s, approached and demanded he hand over his belongings.

After he handed over his wallet containing money, as well as his keys, tobacco and a white iPhone 13, they then took his trainers and some clothing and left in the direction of the harbour.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "The first suspect was described as wearing a red baseball cap, white top and was said to be holding a knife.

"The second suspect was wearing dark clothes and a black baseball cap. All of suspects are believed to be around 5ft 8in tall, and were clean shaven.

"Detectives are appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything at the time of the robbery, or who has private CCTV or dashcam footage taken in the area to come forward."
