Three men are in custody after a serious assault on a woman in the Manston area of Ramsgate on Sunday.

It comes after the woman was said to have been attacked at 8pm in the St John's Avenue area of the town.

A member of the public reported the alleged attack, before police stopped a vehicle travelling on the Thanet Way at around 9pm on Monday.

Police spokesman Scarlet Jones said: "The woman’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening."

The arrested men remain in custody as investigations continue.
