Ramsgate were on the verge of victory at Walton & Hersham in Ryman League Division 1 South when the home side popped up with an equaliser deep into second-half stoppage time.

Warren Schulz opened the scoring for the Rams in the 10th minute when he scored from close range from Aaron Firth’s cross. Walton & Hersham equalised in the 40th minute when Ryan Adams created space for Simon Austin to find the net.

Rams sensed victory when Adams was sent off in the 75th minute after being shown a second yellow card. Gary Mickleborough (pictured) took advantage when he restored the visitors' lead with a powerful drive.

Just when Rams believed they had the points in the bag, Matt Elverson dashed their hopes with a late, late equaliser.

Rams entertain Chipstead on Tuesday night.
