WWE star Chris Jericho ready to rock Margate with metal band

The rock ’n’ roll trumpets will herald the wall of sound that singer/wrestler Chris Jericho blasts out with his heavy metal rock band Fozzy when they headline Margate’s Westcoast bar on Thursday, October 21.

Since their debut album in 1999, Fozzy have released four studio albums – Fozzy, Happenstance, All That Remains, and this year’s Chasing the Grail – and one live album, Remains Alive.

In 2005, Jericho performed vocals on a cover of The Evil That Men Do on the Iron Maiden tribute album, Numbers from the Beast.

He made a guest appearance on Dream Theater’s album Systematic Chaos, on the song Repentance. He also started his own weekly satellite radio show called Rock of Jericho.

The American-born Canadian – who is also a TV and stage actor, author, radio and TV host – has won 22 championships in his World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) career, and is credited as being its first undisputed champion.

He has won the WWE Intercontinental Championship a record nine times.

He is a six-time world champion, having won the World Championship Wrestling global title twice, the World Wrestling Federation Championship once, and the World Heavyweight Championship three times.

He is also a Triple Crown champion and the fourth Grand Slam champion.

The Margate show marks the final date of Fozzy’s UK tour and support comes from highly rated five-piece Symphony Cult, and Death Valley Piledriver.
