Passengers at Tonbridge train station in Barden Road left in the dark due to power outage

Commuters were left in the dark at Tonbridge train station this morning after a power outage.

Engineers are currently on site investigating the outage, which is ongoing, but have not given an estimation of how long it will last.

No lights, information boards or displays are working but a Southeastern spokesperson said that all services are running as normal.

Passengers have taken to social media to discuss the power failure, one said a lady was making drinks in the stations' coffee shop in the dark at around 6am.

The Southeastern spokesperson added: "The engineers on site said they hope the station will have power shortly.

"There is no disruption to any trains but the information boards aren't working."
