RSPCA hunt hedgehog killer

AN ANIMAL charity is threatening to prosecute a yob who kicked a hedgehog to death.

The RSPCA is hunting a man who was seen kicking the creature at the Long Mead sportsground, Tonbridge, on Wednesday evening.

A passer-by witnessed the attack and stepped in to save the animal, but it died almost immediately.

RSPCA inspector Charlotte Baumann said: "This was a particularly nasty attack and we would certainly consider prosecuting this man."

The attacker was about 5ft 9ins tall with dark hair and tanned skin. He was wearing a red football shirt.

Ms Baumann added: "We would like to hear from anyone who saw the attack and anyone who knows who this man is."

Anyone with information is asked to contact the RSPCA on 0870 7540 298.
