Tonbridge v Tooting & Mitcham

Tonbridge return to Ryman League Premier Division action with a home game against Tooting & Mitcham on Saturday.

The Angels lost their first game of the season 2-1 at home to Staines last Saturday, but bounced back with a 3-2 win at Ramsgate on Bank Holiday Monday.

Boss Tommy Warrilow says there is still more to come from his team, but the newly-promoted opponents will provide a stern test.

He said: "All of my players have done some good things and bad things. We know we can perform better than we are.

“I would say we are playing at 65 to 70 per cent of what we’re capable of."

He added: “Tooting lost 7-0 to Ashford on Saturday but then went and steamrollered Sutton 4-2 at home on Monday.

“We’ve never had an easy game against them and they have always been a strong side.”

Striker Carl Rook (groin) is Tonbridge’s only injury doubt but goalkeeper Lee Worgan (suspended) is still out.
