A post mortem examination will be held after a badly decomposed body was found in woods.

Det Insp Andrea Bishop, of West Kent Police, said the body was found off Bishops Down Road, Tunbridge Wells, at just before 10.25am on Thursday.

She added: “The incident is not being treated as suspicious. As is usual in such circumstances, police cordoned off the area for initial investigation to be carried out.

The body has now been removed and a post mortem will be carried out to determine the cause of death.”
