Police called to Mount Pleasant Road, Tunbridge Wells after alleged stabbing outside JC Rook and Sons butchers

Police were called to a main road in Tunbridge Wells after allegations of a stabbing.

Two police cars were spotted outside JC Rook and Sons butchers in Mount Pleasant Road.

A woman in her 20s suffered an injury to her arm in the attack.

Police say they believe the victim, who has been taken to hospital, knew her attacker.

A spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 3.34pm on Monday 3 April 2017 to a report of an assault in Mount Pleasant Road, Tunbridge Wells.

"Officers are currently at the scene. No arrests have yet been made."
