Injuries have been reported following the incident, which involved a car and a motorbike.

A police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 6.03pm yesterday to a collision between a car and a motorcyclist on the A21 near Kilndown Road, Flimwell.

"Officers and Secamb attended and the motorcyclist was taken to hospital."

This is the second accident involving a motorcyclist on the road in just three days, after a biker was killed further south on Sunday.

The victim, a 48-year-old woman from Kent, died at the scene after a collision with a car near Robertsbridge.

The car driver, a 63-year-old man from that village, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
