Royal Tunbridge Wells gardening campaign becomes RHS Britain in Bloom finalist

A Kent town has been named a finalist in this year’s RHS Britain in Bloom.

Royal Tunbridge Wells in Bloom is competing in the Small City category – even though it's a town – and is one of 44 finalists in the national competition.

Each of the 44 will be visited by a pair of Britain in Bloom judges this summer, and winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in the autumn.

Royal Tunbridge Wells in Bloom has reached the national finals twice before, in 2012 achieving a silver medal and in 2019 when a gold medal was awarded.

Tunbridge Wells Borough Councillor Wendy Fitzsimmons said: "This is great news and I couldn’t be more pleased for Royal Tunbridge Wells in Bloom.

"To make the national finals is quite an achievement, and just reward for the hard work of the volunteers who work tirelessly around the town and in our parks and open spaces."
