Kukri knives taken in Benenden burglary

Ceremonial knives and ornaments were stolen during a burglary in Benenden.

Police are appealing for information about the break-in, which happened between September 26 and 27, at a property close to Benenden Road.

Thieves entered through a window and stole two curved kukri knives. One had a red case believed to bear a small plaque carrying the words 'General Patterson'.

Collectable birds, miniature silver boxes and a canteen of cutlery were also taken.

An investigation is ongoing, with forensics checks and house-to-house enquiries in the close area.
