Man stabbed near The Imperial pub in Southborough

A man has been seriously injured after he was stabbed near a pub.

Last night, at around 11.40pm, police were called to a serious assault outside The Imperial pub near the junction of London Road and Pennington Road in Southborough.

A man in his 20s was found with an injury consistent with a stab wound and was taken to a London hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

A pair of men, aged 48 and 40, were arrested at the scene in connection with the incident and remain in police custody.

At around 3am today, Tunbridge Wells police tweeted: “Team one are dealing with a serious incident outside The Imperial Public House in Southborough.

“The incident occurred around 2300 on the 29th.”
