Christmas at Leeds Castle set to open near Maidstone this November from people behind Bedgebury event

More than a million twinkling lights will illuminate the historic grounds of Leeds Castle for the first time in just a matter of days.

The Christmas at Leeds Castle light trail, near Maidstone, will make its debut on Friday, November 25.

The trail, which is open on select dates until New Year’s Day, will take visitors on a 2.41km route through the castle grounds.

Tickets start from £21.50 for adults and £15 for children. Those who plan on driving will also need to book a ticket for the car park. You can book tickets online here.

The illuminations come from the same team behind the sell-out Christmas at Bedgebury event, which began welcoming visitors to its 2022 trail last week.

There will be glowing tunnels of light, reflections projected onto the moat and colourful trees decorated with giant baubles.

The trail also features a flaming fire garden, seasonal sounds and plenty of photo opportunities.

Children will have a chance to wave at Father Christmas along the way, and visitors can stop off at any of the hot food and drink huts dotted along the route for a winter warmer.

You can also purchase marshmallows to be toasted at the on-site fire pits.

Some time slots for the Christmas at Leeds Castle trail have already sold out, so early booking is advised.
