“The aim of The Little Bears Kids’ Club is to make shopping trips with children as entertaining and enjoyable as possible,” said Francesca Donovan who is centre manager.

“Our shopping centre caters for families with free events and pop-up parks to keep the children busy and entertained during the long summer holidays.

“This summer, we will be hosting ‘Alice at Westwoodland’ giving families the opportunity to step into an imaginative land inspired by the adventures of Alice in Wonderland.

“From July 29 up until August 12, the shopping centre will be offering a schedule of activities and entertainment, from croquet with the Queen of Hearts to hat making with the Mad Hatter. Alice herself will be on hand throughout the summer for storytelling session; the perfect accompaniment to a sunny afternoon.

And of course customers can relax and enjoy the free parking and late night shopping.

Benefits of this free club include a personalised membership card which opens up a host of discounts like the half price Kiddy Car hire.

Children can ‘drive’ around the centre, whilst being pushed, and can even work towards getting their very own driving licence!

The cars come in a variety of choices, including a police car, a yellow taxi or one of several sporty little numbers.

All of the cars come with a handy storage for bags, a drinks holder as well as a choice of single or double seats.

The Little Bears Kids' Club has eight individual bear characters, each one with its own personality.

Children enjoy choosing who to have on their membership card with Bella the fashionista being the firm favourite.

The other characters are Columbus who loves to explore, Page who loves to read, Oscar who is always checking out the latest films at Vue, Solar who loves to learn about the environment and recycling, Crumble the foodie bear, Champ the one who loves to race and exercise and Browser who loves to get her hands on the latest games and tech.

You can even meet and greet the bears throughout the summer.

Westwood Cross Shopping Centre is a popular family-friendly shopping destination in Broadstairs with an array of stores including Marks and Spencer, Primark, Next and TK Maxx.

There are also restaurants such as Frankie & Benny’s, Nandos and Ask.

There is also a 10-screen cinema, with standard tickets starting from £4.99 and mini morning shows from just £2.49, there is also free parking and late night shopping Monday to Saturday.
