Well, it has been an exciting week here at kmfm and one of the highlights was meeting X Factor star Misha B.

She came in to see us at the studios on Monday, to introduce her new song Here’s To Everything (Ooh La La). It was a pleasure to chat to her, as she was quirky and fun and was telling us about how much her life has changed since she appeared in the X Factor back in 2011.

She admitted that some parts of the experience were hard, particularly when there was some bad feedback in the press when she was at the centre of bullying allegations but she’s pleased she entered and has used the experience to push herself onwards and upwards to success.

I am a huge fan of talent shows like X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent and The Voice, so it was interesting to hear from a contestant what it’s like to take part in one.

Now, I recently wrote in this column that I have started hitting the gym and having personal training sessions and I’m pleased to be able to report that I’m starting to see results.

I have also been trying to eat more healthily, so I was delighted to read recently that one of my favourite restaurants – Nando’s – has been included in a new list of the 10 healthiest places to eat out.

So now I have a lovely excuse to eat out there – that sorts out my plans for the weekend!

If you fancy joining me in trying to achieve your dream beach body ahead of the summer, my advice would be to give yourself incentives, such as allowing yourself a small treat for every one hour workout. My new healthy regime is certainly working out for me – fingers crossed, I can keep it up!

The kids are currently off school for the Easter holidays, so I had the pleasure of looking after my beautiful goddaughter for two days.

I decided to take her to Dickens World in Chatham and I have to say it was brilliant! Professional actors and tour guides take you on a fabulous journey, bringing to life Dickens’ many colourful characters and offering an insight into Victorian life during Dickens’ time.

Although it is predominantly aimed at kids, I really enjoyed it and thought it was interesting, so if you haven’t been, I suggest you check it out. It’s a cheap day out and will keep the kids occupied for a few hours!
