Some say it’s a dying art, but TV star Nina Conti is breathing life back into the skill of ventriloquism.

The stand-up comedian, who has appeared as a ventriloquist on shows such as Live at the Apollo, will be performing at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury on Saturday, January 14.

Nina will be headlining the theatre’s first Live at the Marlowe comedy night of the year.

The monthly show boasts the ‘biggest names in stand-up’ and has seen performances from the likes of Tom Allen, James Acaster and Sara Pascoe in the past.

Joining the January line-up alongside Nina is Tom Ward, Chloe Petts and Darren Harriott.

Tom Ward is currently in the middle of his debut stand-up tour, Anthem, which he performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August and is now taking on the road across the country.

He has also appeared on Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week and is the narrator of UKTV’s Abandoned Engineering.

Since moving out of her Kent home aged 18, Chloe has gone on to appear on shows such as Hypothetical with Josh Widdicombe and James Acaster and House of Games with Richard Osman.
